Coals Which Burn
By Simonic
I’m sick of you I no longer want to be with you You have driven me To my edge You have turned From sweet love To bitter hate You hurt far too many No longer will I shelter Shelter your problems I have spit you out No longer will I aid You turned From that which had helped That which had cared Now set your feet upon the coals Coals which burn Your life will burn Burn because no help Will be given to you One tried Tried many times Picked you up off the coals And carried you in gentle arms Now you leave Leave what was good For what is bad Burn upon the coals The hate swells For why could you have left? WHY! No longer does it matter You have left Betrayed what was there For you And only you Burn upon the coals Turn and look The one which helped Is not with you any longer You have left the one Turned your back Now, tread lightly For you are the only one You are the only one That cares For you left to Burn furiously upon the coalsSome may say that this wasn't too smooth. Yes, I know this too. It is supposed to give the 'feeling' of anger, growling precise details again, and then restating them again. Making sure, in your head, it all fits. Now, some people like Kevin may want to know why and such, but that's not why I wrote the poem ;P I know why, and it's a release for me, but it had something to do w/ the girl I loved, and another guy(no she did not cheat though). That may help in the understanding the 'why' I want them to burn. Written April 10th, 2001 © on Sep 28 2001 11:31 PM PST 0 • 10
