Darkened Lightning
By Simonic
Slowly the storm approached Darkening fields of flowers Beneath it's shifting mass Drowning the life We didn't see it coming From the south it hailed Calling on demons within To spawn from valued organs The light faded from the sky As the rolling clouds covered Converging us all within them My love, please breath The lightning cracked The machines howled That fearful pulsing Now a slow drawl My love, hold onto that breath That last breath Till we meet again Upon the gates to greater places Now, the storm still rages on Burning my eyes with tears A vow I make to you, my love Till we meet again I shall always sleep alone.Well, this was a challenge poem, and is still on the side bar of my page...but thought I'd throw it up on the main side.
