Day After Day
By Simonic
I don’t know how I let you Pile up so high From a small little piece To now this towering monstrosity Day after day I saw you Day after day I stepped on you I’m not all too certain how How this came to be But now you’ve taken Sleep away from me Night after night I cursed at you Night after night I gave you more I wonder now If this is your revenge For my inconsiderate actions All generally aimed at you Day after day I kicked you around Night after night My smile, turned frown Now I sit Waiting on you To finish up And get yourself clean Night after day You gave me that ache Day after night You greeted me once again You, my friend Are my towering monster Not too filthy, but not to clean Yet, now I can stand and say You, my friend Are my laundry!Yeah, can we say I was a little bored/out of it last night(or I guess it was today, hehe)? I wrote this while I was doing my 2 bags of laundry at 3am in the morning, which didn't get done till 5am. I needed to write an essay, but this seemed more appropriate at the time. hehe. Oh, the essay is done though! Written September 17th, 2001 © on Sep 17 2001 02:34 AM PST 0 • 14
