Glassless Window

By Simonic

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Sitting, quietly within a window With sweetening smiles spreading across Silken lips, as dark hair sways Within this unseen wind Letting, these latent eyes stare Into this glassless window, finding Your image formed within, gently impressing True beauty through a calloused mind Staring, into eyes that know not What I have come to hold for them As they look off and beyond Through this glassless window Leaving, me to dream of dreams Of touching tender flesh, caressing Over a smooth and enticing neck Feeling this ache within Dreaming, over what I cannot have As I stroke this glassless window Staring into the eyes that know not As a smile spreads across your lips, again Smiling, as I watch you through this window Beholding your beauty with silent ease, wondering If I could ever step into this window, to Hold your image within, to feel your warmth Sighing, as a smile falls upon these lips Admiring your sweet and tender words, oh Can I hold you for a moment, to feel A part of you, within and throughout Trying, to find my way through all these aches As I struggle to reach into the window, grasping To touch and to hold, a warm soul within these cooled And scarred hands, pulling you closer into me, slowly Fading, into the night as lights Slowly dim, taking the beauty within Away from my silent gaze, and so I rest Staring into this black and glassless windowInspired by someone....kinda brought back some old stuff I used to use a lot...shrug Written February 10th, 2002 © on Feb 09 2002 11:33 PM PST   0 • 1
