Living Wall
By Simonic
Behind the Wall There lies he He, who made it Who is not before it The Wall is still Peaceful and unmoving He, behind Cries The Wall cries not For it is not correct He, shrinks in the corner Intimidated The Wall fights Defending the builder He, screams at the pain Pain brought upon him The Wall holds no features Only a smooth cold surface He, behind burns with pain Heart and mind shattering pain The Wall is the one One behind the wall He, behind has now become The living WallThis poem was written in the light of how we often put up a mental 'wall' for others to face. It is not our true selves, but how we think we should be. And behind that wall, we hurt, wanting to be free, but for 'acceptance' we stay behind the wall until it consumes us and our old way of thought is gone.
