Seeker Of Happiness
By Simonic
Patiently I wait, Standing off to the side, Oblivious to me, you see not, Yet, I shall wait, Wait, yet, why? Is it hope that holds me, Or is it still the unknown that captivates me, Captivating me in your thoughts, or so I find you in them? I know not which it, However, in speaking with you, An end was found, the end which I had thought, Yet, is there ever truly an end? Of course not, for time continues, But should the hope remain, the hope which sets me aside, This, I can not say, Hope follows the path of the bequeathed, in this, I shall wait, You will not truly see me as you have before, nor I you, Yet, emotions never die, only alter, In this, I call the emotions which I had before, to name, And I stand behind you, as if your secret protector, I shall protect you, without your knowledge, Fear not if I am near, for if any step before you, I shall come out of the shadows and protect, In this, praise not, for I wish it may never happen, Your person is far too special to be stepped before, So, why is it that I continue to care? Surely you have no need for me, so why, Is it my hope, that one day you shall see, Or is it that I truly do care, asking for nothing in return, Or is it both, yet more? Perhaps, patient Time shall reveal the truth, I only sought your happiness, nothing more, In this, you have spoken, Now, I seek my pleasure, The pleasure of knowing you are safe and happy, For this is truly what I had sought all along, Yet, hope found its way into the thoughts, Hope which I will not deny, yet hope denied, It is my hope of nothing, take it as you wish, For it is unknowingly yours, nothing of which shall come, Be happy, the one which I protect, For nothing shall be gained, yet you gain, In this, rest well, And think not of the issues which are now past, Seek your happiness, in which, is all I may say, Sleep well seeker of happiness, for you are protected. This is kinda the "sequal" to "Speak Beauty", but it also can relate now to another relationship I find myself in now, hehe.
