Truly Special
By Simonic
I am here now To explain to you How special you truly are Truly special, to me You do not know it Yet, you are it Special beyond my own thought Is it because of the love I hold for you? Or is it something else Something superficial No, it is this love This unconditional love Truly, I love you Asking nothing in return What I give I give with love So, why would I love? Love something that is not special Do not look at yourself as special For if you do, you limit yourself Limit to how special, you think you can be No, let others give praise to you Let others see you and say, “She is a very special person” Truly, you are very special Why or how, then you may ask To tell you, I would have to cry Cry out everything about you Truly, I do not love just one thing But all the things which you are Hide not the things which you think Think that make you ugly Hand them to me, and with every bit You become more special to me Yet, I yield with love to your wishes It is not I, that must tell, but you And in your own time, you will choose Choose what you think is right And patience I will hold Do not think I will reject you For anything which you do I will accept it For, truly, that is what makes You special, to others and I Why then are you so special to me? I’ll begin my heartfelt cry You care for those who are not cared for You care for me You find joy when joy should not be found You find joy for me Your thoughts are gentle You instill gentle thoughts upon me Your touch is soft Your skin is smooth Your features are perfectly yours Your voice is the voice I can read Your eyes are deep with feelings Covered by a veil, veil of the world Oh, you are too special to remain Remain behind that veil Slowly, if you wish, remove The veil which rests upon you Come into the light, as I may look upon Look upon, your perfect beauty Truly you are perfectly special In that, you are beautiful Beautiful beyond thought Do not be fooled by that veil The veil of the world Beauty is not in the world But in you Do not be ashamed for what is in you For what you are ashamed of Is what I find your beauty in Yet, in this beauty There is love Unmarked love Oh, do not be hurt any longer Do not wretch inside any longer Bring your ugliness out Give it to one who loves I will turn it to perfect beauty Yet, I understand the pain Pain of lifting up the veil The fear of the pain The unknown The problems within Do not fear them Fear not what is old The past is unchangeable Unveil so that your future May be changed As you understand what comes From that of the past Remove this worldly veil Oh, my special one Come towards me in perfect beauty So I may smile with love Upon the one who is perfectly special For you, one which I love are Truly specialI agree, that mid-way through the poem, things can get a little jumbled. But I am one of those who if I view it as a final copy, I don't like to tamper with it. It was written with true emotions at the time of its writing. Any other edit dilutes those emotions. So, how it was written was how I felt, and it's meant to be a lil jumbled..just hope it's not too much for some, hehe. Written March 1st, 2001 © on Sep 14 2001 02:39 PM PST 0 • 8
