Landscape Dream

By Smeagol

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

The fog covers the land like a wet blanket The beasts in the field snort and stammer An uneasiness has invaded the countryside Like an invisable army of malcontent The cock loudly crows and then is suddenly silent A wind blows through the delapadated barn Howling like a lost wolf pup starving and afraid Fear washes ashore like a giant tide Somewhere in this eirie scene lurks the hidden truth Of ancient understandings and unconsious degrees It floats under the surface like a jellyfish Everready to sting  with tentecles of knowledge dreams end with the rising sunkind of just free form words without really a theme or specific story Written February 7th, 2002 © on Feb 06 2002 09:10 PM PST   0 • 10
