The Tale of Dragon Mountain
By Smeagol
Tonight I have a tale to tell So gather one and all Hear how the ancient dragon fell To the Company of the Claw A dragon's horde is huge I hear Treasures too vast for countin' This is the tale I tell tonight The tale of Dragon Mountain Infurna was the dragon's name born in ages past From the firery pits of hell she came rising from the ash Her claws like spears, her teeth like swords, her scales as red as blood A creature of evil only out to crush all that was good Long ago in distant lands in the mountains she did roam Till she overthrew a dwarven keep and claimed it has her home Infurna, Infurna mighty dragon's name Beware her strength and magic and most of all her flame In the land heros are born who travel far and wide Fighting the forces of evil throughout the countryside From the north they did come a band of mighty souls On a quest to slay the beast and claim the dragon's gold A dragon's horde is huge I hear Treasures too vast for countin' This is the tale I tell tonight The tale of Dragon Mountain A noble knight they called Lord Max his sword talon in his hand Gillmathain the warrior-mage who haled from elven lands Juma the mighty warrior a strength of great reknown The artic ranger Oakleaf was also to be found Reverand Darius of Thythis a priest who held great faith The dwarfen fighter Dougal would also take a place Don Christian Alfonso a mysterious sort it's true Last but not least a master mage the wizard Caru To the fair village of Glenhollow the company did ride To fight the dragon's minions in a battle of great size Then up the mountain and into the keep but they must great care For the dragon's nasty servents were lurking everywhere Hidden goblins on the left hidden goblins on the right Hidden goblins with deadly bows raining through the night But the Company were not alone on their noble quest It seems that they had brought along an uninvited quest A dark wizard with evil intent was creeping behind Planning his treachery and bidding his time Alas the good company would not go unscathed Juma gave his life to save his friends beside a giant fire lake The evil wizard sprung his trap farewell young Oakleaf The Company was dismayed but had no time for grief The wizard was mighty with necromantic spells But on the wings of Talon's blade they sent him strait to hell A dragon's horde is huge I hear Treasures too vast for countin' This is the tale I tell tonight The tale of Dragon Mountian Finally the Company found the dragon's lair But Infurna was waiting and she was prepared The Company unleashed their might on the beast they did behold But alas it was an imposter that sat upon the gold Infurna then surprized the band from the shadows below And with her claws and deadly teeth she delt a mighty blow Dougal, Max, and Christian charged the scarlet beast While Caru and Darius their magic unleashed Infurna was sneaky she engulfed them in her flame But she had not counted on crafty Gillmathain Singing his bladesong he swore the beast would die With all his strength he plunged his sword into the dragon's eye But the battle was not over the beast rose from the floor Then the Company gave her all they had and Infurna was no more And now that my tale is told I thank you one and all Now you know how the dragon fell to the Company of the Claw A dragon's horde is huge I hear Treasures too vast for countin' Just ask the ones who survived the tale of Dragon Mountain Written January 20th, 2002 © on Jan 20 2002 02:59 AM PST 0 • 10
