Nature's Song
By Starburst
Calm, cool morning on the lake; The smooth still surface not disturbed by even a slight ripple. I can hear the birds and mosquitos in my ears, Singing the song of the morning. I see the eagle swirling and wheeling overhead. The sun is just barely up and except for me, the lake is devoid of humans But teeming with early morning life All I can feel is Peace That one word means so much Complete relaxation All worries banished for the moment It's something not everyone achieves As I drop my fishing line into the water I drop my worries and problems into the watery depth along with it, drowning them In this one spot On this one morning I've experienced Peace Written November 17th, 2001 © on Nov 17 2001 07:48 AM PST 0 • 18 • 9
