Stomach Talk

By Starburst

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

It growls at me as though it's angry I want to obey, but sometimes I can't It's as though it yells and twists in fury Making me kneel over in pain and pant Eventually, it gives up and rests Making me feel sick Then it wakes up and yells again From inside it gives me another kick Finally, I am back at home And have access to delicious chips I open the bag, expectantly And raise one to my hungry lips Suddenly, much to my dismay I hear my mother call " You'll ruin your appetite, put it down!" Till dinner's ready - No food at all Written November 16th, 2001 © on Nov 16 2001 07:33 AM PST   0 • 7
