So! This Is Christmas

By SusieQT

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

So! This is Christmas, that time of year When we wish each other good cheer A time for thanksgiving for the gift That was sent to us to bind the rift So! This is Christmas when we all hear A Savior is born, no need now to fear He came as a babe in a lowly state All our sins now laid upon his plate So! This is Christmas a time of good will The gift he brought then is available still Shepherds in the field were a little afraid The angel told them He will be your aid So! This is Christmas, a peace on earth He came that we might have a new birth Wise men from the east followed a star They traveled with their gifts from afar So! This is Christmas, what will you do With the gift that was given just for you He left all the splendor of heaven to come To die for you even if you were the only one Written December 22nd, 2001 © on Dec 28 2001 12:28 AM PST   0 • 13
