Falling From Home
Surrounded by glass on all sides Something keeps you from breaking through You see the one you love on the other side You scream You cry What can you do? But watch her teary eyes As he takes her away from you Not just away from you But away from home From love From peace From happiness From feeling He ties her up And gags her You think bad things aren’t supposed to happen What happened to your plans? Your dreams? He dug a whole into your bond As you realize why he did You notice the glass was never there It was a mere illusion To keep you back from her He takes out a knife Holds it to her throat You scream He jabs it into her You cry You immediately thrive to die He won’t kill you He won’t even try He likes your pain So you attempt it yourself But he won’t allow it He’s taken control of you He shackles you to a wall All you can do is cry Your heart is up in flames He makes you stare at her lifeless body Burning like ashes falling Tears fall from your eyes You break the shackles Run to her aid Knowing it’s too late You hold her and begin to cry As you kiss her lightly upon the cheek Then you fall to her feet Grasping the knife lying upon the ground You gaze back at him You tell him thank you What else is left to say? You tell her you love her Even though she can’t hear your voice And she doesn’t reply You know she feels it somehow Someway You take the knife In your shaking hands Turn to look at him And say look what you’ve caused As you’re body grows weak You lie upon the ground With the faint dripping of blood Being all the sense of sounda poem eric and i wrote together Written January 16th, 2002 © on Jan 16 2002 08:57 AM PST 18 • 0 • 1
