Our Hour

The hour came and passed He gave you up I couldn’t be happier He threw you so close to the pit But I pulled you out before you fell in You started to see what I realized months ago It took just one look To see you were the one for me I saved you one night It was so perfectly planned through our improvising And after I did He lost you I saw my chance I knew it wasn’t right You with him Not me No I wouldn’t accept it So I tried And finally A year and four months later I had my moment of victorious glory With one kiss our world was turned upside down We were born again We fell in love We both suffered losses But we came through for each other And here we are so perfect So right I know I will make you happy Now and forever You just didn’t notice back then It hurt to know Trying my best Wasn’t enough? But I would not give up Where there is a will there is a way You were my will And I found my way You finally got me And I got you And we couldn’t be happierone of the poems my boyfriend wrote Written January 6th, 2002 © on Jan 06 2002 12:38 PM PST    18 • 0 • 8
