Symphony of the Heavens
By thepawn
The skies darken As the black clouds roll in The rumble heralds the storm The onslaught is taking form A gentle drop falls to remind the persistent of heart The roaring symphony is about to start As the plains and roads are emptied The lonely wind surveys the event Bothering the exposed trees The heavens are not at ease Gray sky flickers faintly Clouds start to churn Rain falls daintily Rumbling consumes the battle ground Peace is shattered; everything shudders Light dances across the sky Rain dances on the roof Our hearts dance with excitement Crash! boom! the climactic end draws near The harbingers of the storm retreat Silence; no acclaim The sky grows blue from the pale gray The trees rise again, indignant Forgetting the sky titans, The racket of life resumes in full swing... an older poem...
