In That Time
By thespin
In that time people were running scared. They had lost all sense of security. Homes became barricaded fortresses. Every home had a gun. Children had become murderers. There were no halls of education. They were replaced by palaces of concrete and steel. Brute force had replaced the teacher. Big Brother ruled supreme. There were no longer star-filled nights. Space junk now filled the skies. The final frontier had come home. There was no family. It had been replaced with a community of e-mails. There was a silence in the world. All verbal communications had ceased. Every once in awhile there would be a prayer, a whisper of something greater than the sum total of Man, but Man had turned deaf away. There was no music in his soul because he had lost it.writing teacher give us a title we had to write a poem around the title. This is what I came up with. Comments welcomed.
