Listen To The Lord
By thespin
The rivers of the world covered me. I floated on the sea of doubt. Sin and distrust knocked on my door. My God was no more. My mind was sea grass on the ocean's floor. I cried to my Lord in the night. But He was hidden from my sight. Tears of pity flooded my soul. I screamed to God to make me whole. I was alone, desolate and dreary. My footsteps faltered and I grew weary. The well of my love ran hot and dry. Unto the Lord I did cry. "Lord, My God, I acknowledge my sin." "Come inside me, cleanse me, from within." "Lord, for You, I am longing." "Let there be rejoicing for me in the morning." "You have filled the rivers of my soul." "I am washed in your blood." "I am once again, whole. Your forgiveness is great." "For You wiped clean the slate. I will rest in Your home." "No more will I roam." My Lord is filled with pleasure and delight. For I now walk in His light. In my Lord I will put all my trust. For He is merciful, kind, and just. No more will my steps slide. For in His arms I will abide. I am forever committed to His ways, And I will dwell in His house all my days. Written November 20th, 2001 © on Nov 20 2001 12:56 AM PST 0 • 13
