Timeless
By thespin
The tree is twisted and bent. Time has made it tough and hard. It is weatherbeaten and torn. It's arms spread towards the heavens. A mulitude of small fingers reach out. Clutching towards its creator. Trying to find a comfortable cloud to lie its weary head upon. Its boughs have encircled children. Heard their laughter and seen their tears. It has nestled homes in its hair. Listen to the symphonies of chipping. The old tree has seen the birth of Man. The joy of creation. The beauty of God. Turning with the world it goes on spiraling. Bearing the fruits of the seasons. Undaunted. It stands firm. At peace in its old age. Written November 20th, 2001 © on Nov 20 2001 12:41 AM PST 0 • 12
