ignorance it really is bliss for months i lived in bliss i thought that light bulb of realization had flickered that i was what you wanted and you didnt need anything else i thought you would be wholly mine so i walked with that wool down over my eyes so thick that all i could see was what you wanted me to see i stumbled into things and never saw the bruises because you 'just didnt want me to be upset' moths of time have eaten a tiny whole trough the wool and my bruises hurt me more than you could know im black and blue and stained with salty disappointment there's a winding road to the end and ive hit every sign on the way never knowing there was a brick wall waiting for me at the finish please dont let me hit that wall Written January 31st, 2002 © on Jan 31 2002 12:25 PM PST 10 • 0
