A cat sneezed? OH NO!!!

By tigerlilly

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

One cat, then two, oh no, three more... have sniffles, sneezes, throats so sore. It's been the best of winters yet 'cause no one's had to see the Vet. But now this cold germ does conspire, racing through my bunch ...viral wildfire! So grab the carriers, chase a cat... one's still hiding, now look at that... 'twould work, my dear, if only tail... did not protrude past bedrail! Into the car, crates stacked so high... we're on our way, appointment nigh; and oh! how they express despair...yowling meowling... ten miles there. At last this circus does arrive, where techs and Doctor now will strive... with compact fur-bundled teeth and claws, fright well advanced and without pause. These gentle little babies dear, have turned to tigers now i fear. At last, all is done, back into cages... soothe the last, out of wildcat rages. Back to the car, then within house... give to one and all new catnip mouse. They glare at me, green and yellow eyes... "It's all your fault, and we despise... the Vet and shots, that we find there... thought you loved us, thought you cared!" This is what they said i know, read it in their faces so... how can i say this? Oh, what a plight! There's MEDICINE to give tonight.all comments and critiques welcomed =^..^= Written February 18th, 2002 © on Feb 18 2002 05:28 AM PST   18 • 0 • 14
