full moon's light bathed the rustic cabinnestled in the trees.frost rimed window drew a doe's eye,in deer's curiosity.a glance through the winter bound portal, revealedhumans in love's embrace...while firelight cast shadowsagainst the log walls, they drew nearer, quickening the pace.the doe had no words for the picture...till her own mate drew so near, then as he demonstrated, images related...her heart leaped, the meaning wasclear. and the moonsmiling down at the setting, winked at Venus, still in his sight...cloud chucklestold the goddess of loveshe'd done well, this cold winter's night.all comments and critiques welcomed Written January 21st, 2002 © on Jan 20 2002 08:04 PM PST   10 • 0 • 16
