may i come to dance with you? it's true the steps are words and music comes from verse rhythm from a metered line so new please take my hand then listen while we wait as speech will orchestrate the tune we sing in this merry poet's band sweet muse springs forth fresh like strains from violin resting  happy near my ear as we whirl across the page letters form this great theater wrapped around the stage where houselights dim and word ballet begins upright feathered quills inked and ready flow with life loving steady racing onward penning words to sing brief phrases turn to sentences clear mountain waters tumbling down to decorate the bare rock face of life wanton spirit that i am come dance with me the words await for you the book is open still blank leaves to see lined out steady ever ready longing always longing with words of love and laughter to be filledall comments and critiques welcomed Written January 29th, 2002 © on Jan 29 2002 12:30 AM PST   0 • 8
