at 3:00 am nightmares return waking me shaking me from coccoon of blankets warm sweating cold bullets fear drenched trembling in this storm that sweeps through heart and soul my dreaming mind unkind to bring forth images of loss grating fractured bone-ends of grief to tear me from healing sleep where closed eyes and memory still could keep the thought of your sleeping form beside my own now lost in this waking aching tide of waters dark pain so deep crashing against broken heart as i weepall comments and critiques welcomed Written February 21st, 2002 © on Feb 20 2002 08:17 PM PST   18 • 0 • 1
