life is a cold gray cloudy morning filled with chilling winter rain my heart pulled up one more blanket but i can't shut out all the pain you closed the door but didn't slam it that sad silence filled my ears now my eyes are streaming rivers i may drown in my own tears the floodplains 'round me are all covered my world is spiraling away i've never taken you for granted but you thought i did today a rainbow clatters 'cross the table the empty bottles hit the floor wash down the bitters of forgetfulness stretch out my hand, sweep up some more my ship is sinking in dark waters the rain has washed the pain on down this lonely shell will soon be ashes the world will be less one sad clownall comments and critiques welcomed :) Written January 24th, 2002 © on Jan 24 2002 06:52 AM PST   18 • 0 • 1
