every day the sun gets up from it's bed of clouds shakes the sheets of light smooths all wrinkles formed at night never asking why when or how doing only what it knows to do just now dawn's warming fingers reach touch distant mountaintops melting winter snow into spring raindrops never saying no giving what it can since the world began long heated solar rays pierce virgin soil swelling fertile seed feeding needs never looking back taking what it can to itself again slow lingering warmth incubates the day giving comfort to all earth this way never pondering how to get through knowing always it has work to do when dusk falls sunstreamers paint the softest sky golden pink and lavendars to thrill the eye never reasoning it's awesome hold saying time to keep darkness awhile putting earth to bed with twilight's smileall comments and critiques welcomed as i wonder and wander through the plains of light Written March 2nd, 2002 © on Mar 01 2002 11:09 PM PST   18 • 0 • 12
