from heaven's mount sweet waters flow in a river of love coursing here below near sunset's hour we two will meet wading in the shallows, me and my sweet yes, he...my precious turtledove a gift i know from One above for when he smiles and takes my hand music swells from angel bands his cheek near mine when we're together feels like the brushing of angel's feather and in Sol's fading golden glow when the nightingale sings soft and low with his arms around me holding tight we watch the first stars of twilight lips pressed to mine do make me sigh his hand then drops from breast to thigh scent of grass and flowers in the air crushed by our weight as we lay there with the song of water's dancing by we gaze into each other's eyes a question was asked but no words said simply answered by a nod of the head helping one another with latchet and lace the barrier of garments we did erase moonrise did dapple and pearl our skin as we loved one another and felt no sin for the riverbank was our wedding bed sheep our witnesses in clergy's stead the shepherd's love consumed the shepherdess while nightwinds called to grace and blessall comments and critiques welcomed :) Written February 13th, 2002 © on Feb 13 2002 11:54 AM PST   0 • 8
