Two Loves Have I
By tigerlilly
Dawn and Dusk Find me alone as I watch Lapping tides Lift a twisted piece of driftwood Caught there for a time. One snag Secures a portion in wet sand, While moving waters invite the rest, Encouraging strange voyages To Uncharted lands. High noon finds the branch… Covered with an aqueous weight, Swaying with the undercurrent… Dreaming maybe Of some place to rest with creatures, All exotic, In some rockbound tidal pool. Midnight Moonbeams lancing through the depths, Enhancing visions… Freeing snag, Letting go the sand… Yet Knowing that with the sun’s returning I’ll still find this piece Of driftwood Turning Aimlessly in the sea of life.all comments and critiques welcomed Written March 27th, 2002 © on Mar 27 2002 02:23 PM PST 0 • 8
