you've drifted away
By tigerlilly
like autumn's leaf on a pond gentle breezes pushed you on past my reach beyond all recall winter's snowflake melts so fast on my tongue it didn't last just a chill where it fell now remains spring's dandelion fluff in the air wind currents swirling you away to my despair i didn't know summer's red rose petals i see fallen faded like your love for me now it's gone and i miss you so you gave a year in the garden of loving care i didn't notice the damage season's passage brought to us there like a fool i closed my eyes hoping you would stay but from love's paradise you've simply drifted away.all comments and critiques welcomed :) Written February 9th, 2002 © on Feb 09 2002 04:42 AM PST 20 • 0 • 1
