Dance with Destiny

By Tina2

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

In the sky is a picturesque view of the clouds above. A gentle harmonious whisper heard in the ear of a child’s love. Playing hopscotch, kickball and red rover. Always calling for the one you had a crush on to come over. Skipping rocks across the water, playing solitaire. Dancing with destiny in the world devoid of any care. Nothing seems to be relevant when you are but a child. Except having fun or wearing a constant smile. Searching for a four-leaf clover seems to be your only goal. Facing sundry circumstances never alone, always feeling whole. Destiny metamorphoses in the time it takes to skip a rock. Age transpires as you listen to the ticking of the clock. Life’s tribulations gradually come your way. Before you grasp what has happened you are an adult today. Life becomes a labyrinth of adulthood where choices become the path. Transporting you into your own decisions sometimes causing wrath. But what do we make of this life we have been ordained. Do our memories fade away? Which one’s have remained? Destiny places us in situations that are meant. Our lives were written out before we were sent. But the choice lies within our hands as we dance with destiny below the sky. To whom should we thank for bestowing this blessing upon you and I? Though we may face trials and losses of those we love. We all have a home waiting for us up above. My dance with destiny has led me to the arms of the Lord. For He is my protector and His words are my sword. In the dark side of my mind questions are like dust in an empty place. Whenever I begin to get down, I seek my Saviors face. Sometimes I ask what if my faith is in vain? I have to look around and listen to the glory of the rain. I hear the trees give a testimony, and the mountains sing and praise. Only one God can create all of this, and guide me through this maze. When I have drawn the line all the way to the end. I shall wear my crown, and my new dance with destiny shall begin. It is an interminable growth of faith and of hope. To the Lord I shall call upon in any circumstance where I need to cope. On earth the devil has a engagement with destiny as well. He is seeking for all the company he can get in the fate of his hell. He is like a lion seeking for whom he may devour. To take souls with him to Hell on Heavens blessed hour. Only one God knows when this time shall be. What will you choose as your future dance with destiny?Written March 9th, 2002 © on Mar 09 2002 11:56 AM PST, Tina Leonard   spiritual • 18
