Lost at Sea

By Tina2

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

What lies beneath, in the still of the soul? Battles a commencement of life, in the story that's told. Wrapped in pleasure, tempted by sin. Lies a person whose soul is based on decision. What lies ahead in the land for those who don't care? Unquestionable gnashing, cries of torment everywhere. Yet on the other coin lies an infinite magnitude of serenity. A dwelling of adoration found within’ the soul of you and me. Within’ the soul of the believer lies a place where blankness is doomed. Yet within’ the soul of the skeptic is a place where anguish beats at the womb. The depths of the waters within’ the place of self-delusion reverberates the desire to walk isolated. Closing your eyes to the waves of the release, redemption left alienated. Questioning the precise rationale why your boat was set a sail. Blinded by the luminosity that your soul could bestow upon those off course at sea everywhere. Placing your name within the Book to reside in Heaven without end. In the still of the soul, lies an account of your life that could easily transcend. Placing your crowns upon the floor and asking Jesus to come in. Pray that you are forgiven for all your sin. The Lord waits patiently for you to recognize what is true. He will never push you aside or abandon you. The devil will grab your sail and try to wash you ashore. Tormenting you into a life of damnation to suffer in Hell with him forever more. The waves of life are churning the struggle will subside If you only open your heart and let Jesus be your guide. Do not wait until you are lost at sea to repent of your sin. In the still of the soul the Lord awaits for us to ask him to come in. No one knows when he goes out to sea when it will be his last time. Life can end on this Earth on the turn of a dime.Written October 16th, 2001 © on Oct 16 2001 05:41 AM PST, Tina Leonard   spiritual
