Grindelwald

By TractorMan

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Into the Bernese Oberland I really loved to go High in the Swiss Alps Blanketed by snow Little town of Grindelwald Spread out over the hills Surrounded by steep mountains Providing numerous thrills The views are spectacular Breathtaking scenery replete With lakes, wildlife and plants And vistas hard to beat Hiking in the Summer Climbing all year round When it came to winter The skiers could there be found Cog rail trains climbed From the town down below Up to the chalets And the surrounding ski slopes Being very ingenious The Swiss built a rail Right through the massive Eiger And stopped at a glacier trail The Jungfrau hotel they built At the top of those mountains above Right into the heart of solid rock Truly a labor of profit and love After a day of playing real hard Getting hungry and having sore feet Sitting down to a hot cooked meal Then off for a good night’s sleepNot really meant to flow... just wanted to record this for my own memory...
