Saturday’s were Always fun We’d suit up Grabbing hats and gloves A ride by dad To the ball game My uniform bore the Cubs And Orioles and Yankees’ names Whether at first base Or in center field My goal also as a pitcher No runs would I yield I struck out and walked And even got base hits Hitting three home runs Gave one pitcher the fits After the game And at the end of the day It was then time to go swimming And continue to play I sometimes miss Those days of the past I’ll tuck away those memories As long as they last Written October 29th, 2001 © on Oct 29 2001 04:36 AM PST 0 • 10
