My Birdfeeder
By TractorMan
Out in my yard I dig me a few holes To hang my feeders On eight foot wooden poles The birds were there Waiting to be fed I put up for the Hummers Some feeders colored red Seed for the blackbirds And seed for the Horned Larks The House Finches fly away When both our dogs bark Suet cakes and bird baths I have put for them there A family of Barn Swallows Nested with pine needles and hair Sunflower and White Millet Are their seeds of choice When all the birds are feeding It’s hard not to rejoice Written November 13th, 2001 © on Nov 13 2001 03:44 AM PST 0 • 10
