Changed Forever

By Tramp Poet

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Changed Forever This years holiday season seems subdued, somber, even quiet. Haunted by September day of infamy when the world changed forever. Feeling like a lessening... a reservation in spirit and soul. Perhaps explained by honor, respect for those who have gone before. Our soldiers hunt for justice seek twisted madmen responsible. Our nation has unified with sorrow tragedy setting granite resolve. Everything we have cherished forever changed, turned outside in. We struggle with our new reality defined with red, white and blue. Methinks we all need a holiday a party, joyous birthday celebration! A reminder that good shall triumph as the world changes forever...again. Merry Christmas to each and all!   Tramp Poet  12/01 Written December 17th, 2001 © on Dec 16 2001 05:11 PM PST   10 • 0
