Melting Together

By Tramp Poet

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Melting TogetherThe moon a silver crescentpromise of shadow about.Weeping willow kisses Magnoliaon our path we stroll.Evening birds call lovecrickets and frogs sing along.Tis evening at our pondholding familiar hand.Oh, sweet is this feelingat one, peaceful and secure.Steps in time, hearts as wellas stop and turn we do.Nightingale calls for kissesand a murmur, maybe two.We meet in the middleboth familiar and true.A touch of hand in hairblowing kisses in the air.Flashing eyes, smolder they besoft as an echo; Thee, Thee, Thee.A turn again to the pathbit slower in step.As we stroll the bankthat circles our pond.Lovers walk in evening timeas daylight goes off to bed.Pause often to love once moreand simply soak it in.Stars peek from silver cloudas pieces scuttle by.Flower scent and fresh earthlovers step side by side.Heaven must be almost likethis evening we have shared.Feeling His touch, againwhile melting together.Tramp Poet  7/01 Written October 26th, 2001 © on Oct 26 2001 03:04 AM PST   10 • 0
