It's Hard to See the Future When You're Still Living in the Past ( Title was revised)
By Trose
Everyday I watch others taking things as they come And forgetting the past as if there was none I'm glad for another day to experience new things To accept and handle the problems life has to bring To realize the beauty & wonders of the earth and skies Makes me feel guilty as though I have passed it by The troubles of the past are the same as today No solution in sight is the reason for how I behave I have got on my knees and prayed many times When I was done all I could do is ask, "Why?" And many prayers I have heard other people ask Makes what I want seem like a minute task There have been many years that have passed me by And with the times I have had many deep sighs Holding on to small memories that make me feel good And knowing I did absolutely all that I could To be wanted by someone that I could give my love A person that understands and will lend out a hug But with the past in my way nothing else can I see Including the answers possibly waiting there for me Written October 4th, 2001 © on Oct 03 2001 11:40 PM PST 18 • 0 • 1
