Pulchriphobia
By Twiceborn
As I walked into her room, While she was fast asleep, I saw her clothes all piled there, In one gigantic heap. Her naked form lay silhouetted In the moon's soft glow, With satin sheets surrounding her and Skin as fair as snow. I hesitated 'fore a step, Toward the angel's bed; Her beauty was so glorious, I'd surely be struck dead. I took a step forwards, then back, Thoughts racing through my mind; Why was I chosen for this prize, A goddess, I to find? As I neared the bedside of This daughter of the night, I saw her chest rise up, then fall; Pure heaven's breath took flight. Kneeling beside the tranquil bod Of beauty's avatar, My eyes began to burn with flame; Her grace, I'd only mar. Her flawless face captured the light Of Luna perfectly; Reflected back the image of The starsong, bright and free. Her blood red lips, they spoke to me In slumber's silent voice They spoke to me of of us, and I, In the end, had no choice. My hands, all of their own accord, Drew towards her supple breasts; And though I tried with all my might, I could not make them rest. Her lips then called my own, that they might Meld into one whole; I knew that if I shared in this, I'd lose my very soul. Her warm breath, it did smell of perfumes And exotic spice; Ev'rything that's used to arouse, Entangle, entice. I could not resist it, could not Bear to look away; Our lips met in the softest touch-- I knew not night from day. Now, I wallow in the netherealms, Unable to return To the lone life that I lived, full of Despair and concern. But I will also ne'er again see The face of her so clear; The fair face of true beauty's form, That now my heart does fear. Written April 13th, 2002 © on Apr 15 2002 04:19 AM PST 18 • 1 • 8
