More To Life
There's a mother Works all damn day Just to come home And cook dinner for Her unapreciative husband. He doesn't care Or realize that She's there. She takes care of the Baby While he sits On his ass and watches TV. And all she wants to do is cry But she can't There is no time And the next day She has to wake up And do it all over Again. There's a father Married to a woman Who thinks the world revolves Around her blonde head. And the worst thing That could happen Is her nail appointment Gets cancelled Or the color on The box of dye Isn't the same As the color of her hair. He's a workaholic He forgets about His own daughter. Too busy working He doesn't realize The wife may be Cheating. There is a woman Who feels that She's got it so bad. Everything is so horrible Except for Her grandchildren Unless They screw up too. She had her kids in her teens She's generous But has had a rough life. She seems unhappy I don't know why But when I think about it It makes me cry Since there's nothing I can do. There's me Watching the people In my life Sort out thier own hells Make mistakes... And all I want to do Is remind them that there's more to life Than living They just don't realize The other one has it equally as bad.
