Covered in Leaves
In this dismal one room house The windows are covered with leaves Where everyone left Now, I can't see out Parasites slide up and down The walls and onto and into me Taking the little I have left I'd fight back But, I'm running low on fuel I sleep on the bare floor With my dog My best friend He'd leave, but No one else would take him Just like me I pace at night Don't want to lose The time of darkness To inhale Slow, woeful, melancholy energy The contrast Sunlight depresses me So, then I sleep Backwards, the way I've always been And, no one wants to visit me here Because once you're here It's hard to break out There are no doors And the windows are already Covered in leaves...
