Split
Life split into two realities The ground bursts with energy In form of green blooms Flowers with hues Too many to name Children run madly Intoxicated with youth Discoveries to be found Everyday inside old truths Refreshed when uncovered Sun glows cosmic red As it retreats turning The sky navy to set the scene For the moon and stars Light years away yet close Then, the world spins The soil is dry with Brown sticks embedded Flowers once juicy now brittle Monotoned with death Children lost before play Died while ripe on the vine Never had a chance To decide whether life Is curse or gift Grey clouds cover sky Until dusk when it fades Descending even more into black Staring at the stars Making you feel small and helpless These are just two planes Of the same reality If sensitive, you'll feel both Chaos trying to decide which is true Both is why the most tortured souls Hide inside a beautiful mind It stings, it's so magnificent It stings, it's so gruesome Maybe one day both with strike Together to pull forth peace Into the split level perception Become one and clear To find an intersection Of extreme planes May bring order to Anarchy of judgements Will let me rest Maybe one day Not yet Written December 26th, 2001 © on Dec 26 2001 03:42 AM PST 0 • 10
