dream of desires.

By unlikely savior

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

in the deep, dark depths of the soul of man, lies a desire for one thing. for each man, this is different. some lust for power, some for the almighty dollar, and some for lust. for me, i've never thought about it. a home, peace for my soul; rest, now that i have passed on, or just someone to care. I believe in dreams..... if it weren't for them, some of us would not exist, be alive still, or have faith in anything. dreams keep us alive. it has been said that a man without any dreams has nothing to look forward to in his waking hours. do you believe this? my soul dreams of a simpler time. when things were not as complicated, when the world was less troubled. I once again welcome the long sleep, when I can dream for an eternity, maybe two, of the way things have, could, would and should be. good night folks, and sweet dreams...I still HATE lobsters you know.
