You Should Know

By Wallflower

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

You should know, These tears I cry They are for him, As I watch him die. You should know, This poem I write Is because I Slowly die inside. You should know This is goodbye To him, The Reason why I cry. He's going on to god Because only the good Die young. And, love, He is too young. Of course, I'm going to cry When I place just one red rose Upon his coffin-side. Of course, Inside I'll die As I take that one last look At his caring eyes. Of course, He'll pass on judgement day. We all knew that anyway. You should know, These tears I cry They are for him, As I watch him die. Written September 30th, 2001 © on Sep 29 2001 01:58 PM PST   18 • 0 • 1
