Daydreams seem to lend

By Walter Burns

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Daydreams seem to lend To nightmares never end They could both be my friend If they would never end But you’re calling my name The same way that I came Into this world! Cursed and fondled on your tongue Something said for dying young Something said for never living Something said unforgiving You’re messing with my head All my real friends are dead Or at least in my mind So am I Let me die Written February 11th, 2002 © on Feb 11 2002 11:44 AM PST   20 • 0 • 10
