Keepsakes
By Walter Burns
I see you In the sting Of swift emersion As if something, stunning stroked the darkness A light glows my eyes blink back levied tears You are not real. You seem as if divine. I’d rush to meet you But you’d simply fade Into the canvas The stars, keepsakes of my loss I ache so I lived through hunger’s path Lay me down I’ll feed you grapes of our past love Written June 22nd, 2001 © on Jun 22 2001 11:10 AM PST 0 • 8
