Fire in the Hole! (A) for adult situations

By Walter Burns

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

The war is on another shore Explosion is in our kiss You are the land I will explore To look for a spot I've missed Your neck it dips and meets the sun Your warmth and flesh I envy Let the moisture sink to depths As deep as you will send me Fingertips are probing missiles Soft and lethal, quite extreme I know a spot where I could touch you And wake you from your bad girl dream Blue jeans fall to bedroom floor And panties add to the pile I can’t camouflage my growth So I salute with perk and smile Now a prisoner of our war Caught by grip and your juice You thought you’d won, laid down my gun As I fill you, we cry for truce Rep'rations made from the war Clean sheets cover up our sin You eye me as I grip the edge And we’re off to war again Written February 10th, 2002 © on Feb 10 2002 12:35 PM PST   0 • 16
