I like to see you

By Walter Burns

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I like to see you out of water and suffering from your state Breathing poison -- what I call air and wriggling at your fate I like to see you bark and bitch as your head hangs out the car I want to hit the powered switch and cut off that puny roar I like to see your eyes bulge out not knowing what is wrong I like to change the station once I hear your fighting song I like to sit and imagine this: Scarlet marks upon your scream I like it when you wave your hands in front of my staring dream Written March 16th, 2002 © on Mar 16 2002 06:15 AM PST   0 • 1
