By Walter Burns

A horizon handshake in a warm bundle of birth My love for you was born before there was an earth And then became the earth, I watched myself depart While placed in God’s own hands, revolve a love at heart  Then the doe and dove, set free, to roam upon my land I searched for soul, in hope that love, someday would understand Then God was feeling lonely, he breathed life into some clay I was pulled down to earth, from it, and born on hopeful day God always sees so fit, in His hand I accept my fate He took my rib, and for me, bestowed a loving mate When I was Earth, I revolved so simply around the sun Now I’m Man and I follow You until my life is done On the seventh day, sabbath day, God stopped and rested And to the sun, the earth, and man: love he hath invested © on Jul 01 2001 03:56 PM PST   0 • 13
