Me in Me
By Walter Burns
The hidden word In “me” is me Its good it rhymes With poetry I’ll write the words You’ve torn apart And hold the shreds Up to my heart The masking tape In time, repairs The fact that I Have words to share Words of life That imitate A dying art I learn to hate For if I make It “me” in me Then I must not Care what you see I’ll only heal And stave remission If its all for me My only mission For now, I'll stop And say “The End” I know in time My heart will mend Written November 28th, 2001 © on Nov 28 2001 03:28 AM PST 0 • 1
