Tupperware Hunk

By Walter Burns

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Coffee with creamers from all over the world Hair done in boofs and the perms are home curled Clackety saucers with pinkies straight up Caffeinated ladies shout, “Hey, another cup!” I lurk in the shadows; I’m husband unseen It’s a Tupperware party and everything’s clean The closets, the hamper, and even the eaves But my wife gets the profit when everyone leaves She’s sold candles, cosmetics, and even bakeware My favorite, of course, is the modeled underwear She’s a seller by nature, she sold me her heart But it’s sad, in these parties, I don’t get to take part I found in the corner a place I could hide I got to my skivvies and I climbed inside When they go to open this Tupperware trunk I’ll jump out and cry "I'm the Tupperware Hunk" Written July 7th, 2001 © on Jul 07 2001 03:53 PM PST   0 • 14
