upon a window's shattered night upon lightened crevices neath door's floored distance comes darkness's first hope. upon talon's first scrape upon wicked sneers and jabs comes faint brushes silk upon my face... upon hated heat's first burn upon salty drops deep travel phantom hands shielded wounded eyes... upon plunging edges and razored smiles upon silent screams and begging whispers comforting words flow into burned innocence while bloodied talons and scarred blades hit their mark... while hatred's words and vile concepts flooded the innocent mind... Your hand was the one clasped to in the night Your voice whispered words of hope into that child's ears... Your fingers brushed away my confused moisture... You arms wrapped about me, holding me as I cried in the night... Written March 4th, 2002 © on Mar 04 2002 03:16 AM PST   18 • 0 • 1
